Hi - I run both ProphetX and DTNIQ on the same box. Sometimes(today, for example) ProphetX will timeout and restart even though my network connection is still working fine and DTNIQ is putting up current numbers. I don't know if there's a problem with the network getting specifically to the PhX servers(while the path to the DTNIQ servers is OK), or what, but it's very aggravating having PhX blow up all over my monitors during the trading day.
So, is there any way for me to expand the timeout value that PhX uses?
Worst case, could you all expand it in the next release?
DTNIQ is typically rock solid, but this PhX thing is getting really old. This bug has been in every version I've run, over many years.

Hello AMA,
Unfortunately, we did have a network outage at a secondary site that was resolved after the initial report and our servers had to disconnect users to move them over to a good site. The process of moving users itself, does not take long, 10 -15 seconds, but ProphetX is configured to wait for 30 seconds before trying to reconnect. I will inquire with PM to determine if this delay in reconnection can be adjusted to a smaller time frame as you suggest. I will also ask them to look at what may be different between the two products, such as time out values. My apologies for the delay in reply.
FYI - If you click the key icon at the top of the screen it will bring up your login box and by reconnecting there, you would skip the 30 second wait between connection attempts.
Thanks, as always, for your input!
Tim
