Hi there, I am using Multicharts with IQFeed. Due to limitation of Multicharts, I can not do some analysis. May I use Excel DDE or database to request market data from IQFeed. Then I could do analysis on my Excel or Database.
Thanks for your great help!

We do send a sample Excel sheet with the IQFeed Client that could possibility help in your instance. Located in start/all programs/IQfeed/sample DDE Spreadsheet. Ther are other softwares you can use if they would work for you along with what you are using.

Charles,
To expand on this, I would suggest looking at QuoteIN, XLQ, or QCollector. All three of these 3rd party applications may help you accomplish what you need. The first two are Excel Add-in type applications while QCollector will pull data from IQFeed and store it to files you can then easily export/import into other software.
You can use these software applications at the same time as Multicharts, so they are quite complimentary. If all you need is streaming data into Excel, you can do that natively with our DDE linking. To get started, use the sample DDE Spreadsheet as it has most of the information you will need to know as part of that spreadsheet.
