Are there any sample to show the API use at all ? I see compiled apps, but no source code. I thought there was a zip link somewhere - but can't locate it now. Could you please help ?

When you install the apps, in the start menu, there will also be an All Source Code folder listed under each of the languages. So for example Start->IQFeed 5.1.0.5->VC++ Examples->All Source Code.

I see them in C:\Users\krishnans\Documents\DTN\IQFeed. I am on Windows 10 and still figuring things. It didn't put it in the iqfeed folder (posting this because there may be others still from old windows world)
