Does IQFeed keep daily and 1-minute historical data for delisted stocks?

The daily and Minute data is available on de-listed stocks unless the symbol is reused.

A related question:

If a stock went thru ticker change, e.g. UA.C --> UA, would the old ticker info (UA.C) be kept anywhere?

Thanks.

The symbol UA.C has stored historical Daily and Intraday data.

Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist you with.

Thx Stephen, for your quick response.

Sorry that I was not clear. I can see that UA.C would still be in your system w/ stored historical data (because that ticker has not been reused). My question is actually "is there a way I would know, from your data alone, that today's UA and the previous UA.C are actually the same stock"?

A more extreme example: Is there a way I would know that today's "C" was once "CCI" (and "TRV" even earlier)?

This is more of a symbology issue than historical price availability issue.

Hi Lu,
Our data alone will not notify you of a symbol change. IQFeed publishes a daily list of "US Stocks - Changes" at www.iqfeed.net, under the Notifies section of our symbol guide page, but this is not a historical compendium of all previously used symbols. I'm sorry, I don't believe we have such a list. You may need to check the investor relations section of a company's website. You're also welcome to reach out to our support staff to help you in your research.

Just to elaborate further on our process in regards to the history of deleted symbols.

We generally do not delete any history unless a symbol is re-used or moved to a new symbol. Once it has, the old data is no longer available from our system.

So, if you know the symbol to look for it should be there if it has not been re-used, but as Mark mentioned, we do not have a lookup for these expired symbols, so you would need to know the symbol to have a chance of finding the data.

Tim
