When I try to start up the Smartmarket scanner I keep getting this error message:

"Communications error-our socket connection to the server was unexpectedly closed. The program is going to exit. Please rerum Marke****ch."

Everytime I try to start up the program I get the same error message. I've had this problem previously, it apparently resolved itself because I used the program yesterday. But what can I do today to fix this?

John,

we have identified something on the scans server that may cause users to need to logout and log back into our servers each day for Scans. This will be taken care of this weekend. Do you recall if the times you have seen this were related to times when you didn't log out of IQ overnight?

Hi Jay,

Looks like I never answered your question...I haven't had the problem for a long time so either it's resolved itself or I've just been lucky. I do usually often stay logged into IQFeed overnight for days so right now I don't think the problem is related to that since it's not happening.

actually, we corrected the issue on the server so you can stay logged in overnight and you won't see the error any longer. Looks like it is working! - Good to hear.
