The DIA, SPY ,GE ,IBM are not showing bid and ask prices, the string shows 00 on the number field that they are supposed to be in (11 and 12) I do get the QQQQ completely and the MSFT too. I wonder if this could be a problem in my end do to my subscription?
A tried the VB, C# examples and the DDE that you guys provide and the problem persist. So I discarded it had to do with one of our applications.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.
Hello guys
I got a question about IQFeed, How do I retrieve minute bars in real time ?
is there any command that can do this? I already get tick by tick, by I need the entire bar, such as 1 , 3, 5, 10 15 etc minutes, since I dont want to compute this from tick by tick.
I've seen there is a way to retrieve minute bars in Historical Mode (HM,[Symbol],[Days],[Interval];), but I need retrieve data in Real Time.
Can anybody help me with this?
Thanks.
I wonder if I can retrieve market depth for CBOT or any futures market? and could you please specify the way the string comes in, becuase I did not find anything related to MD
Thanks
I could not find any documentation on how to retrieve market depth nor the events nor methods, also how often does the time stamp updates?
I'm not interested in the Level 2 data from nasdaq. I want detailed futures market depth.
Thanks
Hi, I wonder if Iqfeed provides the Implied volatility and delta, theta, vega and gamma for every strike on the options chain?
Hi I wonder if I can get the trade and size of a each strike price call and Put ( for the entire chain), because I dont see any specific function to call for the trade information once I recieve the chain.
One last thing, Is there a way to recieve historical Tick by tick information for an entire chain of an option Symbol?
I'll look forward to your reply
Merry Christmas
Best,
It would be amazing to have level 2 historic data ( 5 days of trading), since none of the provider ( not even bloomberg or reuters have it)
Hi I know I can get history tick by tick and size per trade with level I. Bu I wonder if there is a way to request Historic Level 2 ?
I'll look forward to hear from you.
A) Hi I wonder if its permitted by Iqfeed policies to distribute the developers API in my third party application instead of giving out the client API.
B) I always wonder what is the difference between the two?
As of 06/07/2005 I could not found the 2.3.0.3 beta?
what is the difference betwwen the 2.3.0.4 VS the 2.3.0.3?
I kind of figured out why the iqfeed control crashes right after you login. In the login form, right after i click Connect, if i just wait for the control to login to the server everything goes ok; but if i click everywhere else on the screen (and lose the focus of the login form) the IQFeed Control crashes after the login is complete.
Anyone interested in Trading its Historical Time and Sales format Data with another Members?
Since some members trade Futures, other Stock and ETF, I think it could be helpfull to Trade each others Our historical databases.
If Interested I have 6 months worth of emini S&P, with the DATE,Time, Price and volume of the transaction.
JAY, you are saying that you can package any future or stock symbol, in a comma delimi format with the time, price and volume just like a T&S for commercial purposes?
Where can I get a qoute of the pricing for an entire year of a particular symbol?
same thing happens to me, under visual basic, and sometimes i get the WASEISCONN error from the IqfeedY control
hi, im using the newest version of the control (2.3.0.2), but when i download many symbols at once such as @ESH5, CSCO, SPY, @ESZ4, @EUH5, etc... many times the string that arrives from the activex control comes incomplete; and when that happens, theres some information missing (i get values out of a certain field, like the time(18), and from there on, the string contains nothing) ; it looks like somehow the control saturates, because it happens when there is a lot of activity in the market.
this behavior was also present using sockets, but it appears to be less frequent in computers with more speed and ram.
Do you a way in wich i can somehow "mask" the values that i request, so i just get the information i need?
Thank you, i'll look forward to your reply
Im using the newest version of the controller (v2.3.0.2) but it happens whit all the previous ones
Sometimes nothing, and sometimes WSAEISCONN or WSAEINPROGRESS error.
I have a problem whit the IQConnect.exe, after i input the login/password and the client connects it crashes sometimes (it happens even with the samples provided by iqfeed), do you any idea of how i can fix this issue?
I wonder, how can I compare if the total volume traded I recieved from Iqfeed on the e-mini S&P matches the Volume posted on the website of the CME Time and Sales of Globex during a particular day?
Since I dont understand what update different that the t, T, b or a....... is happening with the o caracter? I cannot know whether it could be a real trade or what?
The HH represents the hour of the day in a 24 hour clock. MM represents the minutes of the hour. The character represented by c indicates one of the following: t - A trade update occured T - Extended Trade. b - A bid update occured (an ask update may also have occured) a - A ask update occured o - Some other type of update occured
Could it be possible that if the o caracter appears it could mean there was a trade?
I have no way to know if the transactions I recieved are being duplicated? Do Iqfeed assigns an id number to each tick? Since yuo do not give the seconds at which the transaction took place its harder to identify if some trades are being duplicated!

In a simplistic example of two trades could you please explain the difference between a Trade update scenario and one with a Extended Trade?
