Effective December 1, 2005, the Philadelpha exchange will begin charging for real time access to their sector indexes. Because all DTN customers to DTN Real Time, DTN Spectrum, DTN.IQ and DTN IQFeed currently receive these indexes in real time, you don't need to do anything to continue receiving this data in real time. Your account will automatically reflect a new exchange fee of $2 per month for the receipt of these indexes in real time.

If you prefer to receive these indexes delayed, please contact customer support and we will remove the real time entitlement and $2 exchange fee from your account.

If you are a DTN Satellite customer, we are also changing the database the PHLX indexes will be located in (in order to properly permission users for real time or delayed data per exchange regulations). Along with the database change, all symbology for PHLX indexes will be standardized to the [symbol.X] format. The following symbols will be changing effective Dec 1:

PHLX Oil Service SectorSM will change to symbol OSX.X (currently OSX)
PHLX Semiconductor SectorSM will change to symbol SOX.X (currently SOX)
PHLX Defense SectorSM will change to symbol DFX.X (currently DFX)
