That's great news regarding Australian exchange. It's good to have the other two exchanges, but the big daddy CFTC will not allow us Americans to trade any of the futures on those two exchanges. it seems that for the most part, American traders are allowed to trade various equity index futures such as SPI, Hang Seng, Kospi, Nikkei, but not much else.

It would be great to have more Asian futures for those of us in USA who would like to keep a day job and trade in the evenings. Singapore is fine; Australian SPI would be my # 1 choice, but Kospi and Hang Seng would be great. See the attachments for the volumes on some of these. European exchanges are wonderful, but in USA, that's the graveyard shift, which I worked enough in my life. :-) Thanks for listening.

Continuous contract for metals on COMEX including only ACTIVE front Months Jul 22, 2011 07:08 PM

Looking at the charts of the main futures contracts, using volume distribution as a guide, it looks like all the continuous contracts are fine except agricultural. Sugar seeems to be ok, because it expires before first notice date, but corn, wheat, soybeans on CME and cotton, cocoa, coffee on ICE show almost no volume for about two weeks before the expiration date of the front contract. It would also be great to have a complete list of rollovers for the major futures contracts. Thanks, |
