This was a problem on my end. I was filtering for bad quotes and my filter algorithm was incorrect. Thanks.
I noticed that while watching the symbol INDU.X, it becomes delayed or stale. It becomes out of sync with other services, like Yahoo! Finance or CNBC. I have to resend the watch request to get the latest quote.
The same application I created watches the Nasdaq COMPX.X and the S&P 500 SPX.XO, but these do not have the problem. These indexes stay up to date.
I'm using IQFeed developer 2.3.0.5.
You should be able to reproduce the problem by just watching this quote INDU.X for a couple of hours without restarting.
Hello,
I need to start the IQFeed client on a machine every morning that is unattended. No one will be at the machine. I wanted to schedule a task in XP to start it, but the IQLinkLauncher requires someone to press the start button, so this won't work.
It seems the only purpose of IQLinkLauncher is to start IQConnect and IQLink. Can I start these two programs myself?
When I try to start IQConnect, it complains that it needs a command line argument, but none of the arguments that I tried worked. What command line argument will start IQConnect and cause it to connect to the server?
I'm able to start IQLink, but it requires that IQConnect is started first.
It sure would be nice to be able to start the IQFeed connection automatically without user intervention.
