Until the exchange seconds/milliseconds timestamp is published it is unclear whether there is a tick delay in the IQConnect feed.
So in the mean time, I would like to know if there is a suggested maximum watch symbol count per connection? For example, only 100 symbols per IQConnection.
Alternatively, is this not an issue because no matter how many client connections I make, they all ultimately go through a single IQConnect process?
I have tested about 90 Nasdaq symbols on a single connection and have seen between 40KB and 130KB per socket read. I don't know if this is busy or expected.
Can you tell me if there is a suggested max KB per socket read at which point I should be doing something special such as opening up another connection (if this even matters) or begin to worry about exceeding IQConnection resource limits?
P.S. Today I received up to 290KB on a single socket read with about 90 Nasdaq symbols on Level 1. Can I expect more, for example will I ever get 1000KB per socket read?
By socket read I mean getting an IO completion and re-reading until available bytes is zero. Edited by sasha on Oct 7, 2004 at 06:36 PM
