I am using IQFeedY and calling SymbolLookup2 in C++ using a type library. My program gets call option chain and then looks up description for each call using SymbolLookup2 and works well for many calls but then suddenly just gets time record. I set iqconnect log file to level 4 and received following type of log entry on many symbols:

Then I get these log entries when it hangs:

TO CLIENT (LEVEL1)=2005-09-14 15:36:07: T,20050914 16:36

TO CLIENT (LEVEL1)=2005-09-14 15:37:07: T,20050914 16:37

TO CLIENT (LEVEL1)=2005-09-14 15:38:07: T,20050914 16:38

TO CLIENT (LEVEL1)=2005-09-14 15:39:07: T,20050914 16:39

TO CLIENT (LEVEL1)=2005-09-14 15:40:07: T,20050914 16:40

TO CLIENT (LEVEL1)=2005-09-14 15:41:07: T,20050914 16:41

And these repeat every minute until I abort the program. Any idea what is happening here?

P.S. - I am using IQFeed v4.0.0.0

P.S.S. - I have found it usuallu hangs after about 2 hours. Reviewing iqconnectlog.txt from 3 runs show hanging up after 2:12:06, 2:09:49 and 2:11:37. When program starts it takes 8 seconds to process 16 SymbolLookup2 calls, after about an hour it takes 52 seconds for 16 calls and then just prior to hanging it takes 81 seconds for 16 calls. Does the COM object not release thread after each call and should the Connect function be used prior to calling SymbolLookup2 and Disconnect afterwards?
