Does anyone know where I can find information about IQ Connection Manager dialog box? There are 2 set of info in this dialog box labeled as "Internet Bandwith" and "Local Bandwith" which I want to know what they are and what's the difference between these two.

Can I through IQ Connection Manager find out if my internet connection is fast enough to receive all quotes and data from IQ Feed?

Thanks.

Goran,
The IQFeed client receives compressed data via the internet and uncompresses it before passing it to your application (via the API).
The "Internet Bandwidth" is therefore the actual internet bandwidth consumed while the "local bandwidth" is the bandwidth between IQFeed client and your application. The size difference is attributable to the compression.

As an indicator, watching the top 1,300 (by volume) nasdaq stocks will require a momentary peak (30 seconds at start/end of trading) of around 700-800kbps and will download around 500 megabytes (on the Internet side). The nyse is about the same.
The top 500 stocks would have almost identical figures as they represent the bulk of the activity anyway.

cheers.
