Interactive Brokers has test accounts available so it is possible to test client software after market hours.

Do you have a similar capablity of testing market streams throughout the course of the day? ie, are there streams and/or accounts I can watch outside of the 9:30 to 4:00 market hours so I can test and troubleshoot issues outside of the limited time frame? If not, anything in the works?

Perhaps just one or two test symbols can be sent continuously for testing purposes.

I find the emini futures (@ESH6, @NQH6, @YMH6 fir the current active months) to have enough activity during off hours for some basic functionality testing.

I'd guess Forex futures might be good also, but I don't watch them.

Looks like I'd need to subscribe to the Forex and CME markets to get at those. I was hoping that there would be something in the standard equity markets (the one to which I subscribe) had something.

Jay will probably give a definitive answer, but I'm guessing for the ES, NQ & YM you get delayed quotes no extra charge. They trade almost continuously from Sunday night to Friday close.

If you can test with delayed data you are already getting the CME Emini delayed (try symbol @ESH6). Forex doesn't provide delayed data and you would need to sign up for either the basic or premium forex at www.iqfeed.net. You can also add Real time futures if you want to have the CME Emini in real time. However, for basic testing, you should be ok with the delayed data.

Just don't forget that @ESH6 is the March 2006 contract. About a week before it expires the June 2006 (@ESM6) will become the active contract.

The Monday after expiration @ESH6 will be useless for testing whether you have real time or delayed quotes

Ok, thanx for the clarification. I'll give the symbols a try.
