Hi all,
Can somebody supply an example which shows how I can get open and close values using DTN IQFeed Java API?
Thanks, Miki

Hello Miki, there are a couple ways to do this in the feed. Can you give me a bit more information about what data you need from the feed so I can recommend the best method?
For example, how many symbols are you needing open/close information for? Are you looking for historical data or are you looking for the current day? What time of day are you needing the data?
If you give me a brief overview of what you want your app to be able to do, I can help in more detail.

Hi,
1. I'm using approximately 1800 symbols. 2. I need the open value in real time (ne need for historical data), preferably the official open. 3. we need the open value at least at the beginning of the trade, but preferably all day long.
Thanks, Miki

If you issue a watch request for each symbol on the Level 1 port for IQFeed, you should be able to get this information.
The open field defined in the Summary and Update messages should be the official open for the symbol and it will populate as soon as the field is sent from the exchange.
