Greetings,
I changed my software vendor about a month ago, and up until 10/11/2004 I was able to generate real-time and historical per tick charts with the new software using IQfeed. Since then, all I am able to generate per minute charts. What I am seeing is all of the ticks are compressed into minute bars. I verified that I am using the latest IQfeed client.
I contacted the software vendor, and they indicated in their response that IQfeed had changed the API and that it was no longer providing data on a tick basis as defined by the API specs.
Can you please provide some assistance with this issue.
Thanks,
Jordan

Not sure what software you are using (please post), but we do provide tick data. The API may have changed slightly, but tick data is still available for 8 calendar days for all IQFeed and DTN.IQ users. It may simply be a case of the software you use hasn't updated to use the new IQFeed client software, and thus to use their software you will have to use an older IQFeed client.

Hi Jay,
I am using Neoticker. I am receiving real-time tick data and can generate real-time tick charts. However I am not able to generate historical tick charts. If you provide 8 days of historical tick data, can you tell me how the data are timestamped? That is, are historical tick data timestamped on a per second basis or are all ticks for a given minute timestamped on a per minute basis?
Thanks,
Jordan

Tick data is stamped to the nearest minute increment. As noted on many threads in the forums, we are working on changes to start providing this data to the nearest second.
