"Thanks for the great product and support. During this week of high volume trading, my QuoteTracker + IQ Feed setup never missed a beat. Also, thanks for your swiftness in responding to data issues. I was on ******* for a few years before I made the switch over early this year, and wish I had done it a long time ago." - Comment from Ken

Hmmm, guess I was pretty stupid to fight rather than switch all this time. And have gotten more customer service from you guys already than total from them… in five years." - Comment from Jim
"Everything is working amazing now. I'm already impressed with the true-tick feed of IQFeed and it's ability to support my 480 symbol layout." - Comment from Tyler via Email

We are aware of emails sent out by Telvent DTN with the following message:

"We are going to be upgrading our servers in the near future & the version of IQ you are using may not be compatible with the new server sets, and will no longer work."

The emails don't give any details of the impending Server upgrades nor which versions of IQFeed will be compatible. I did reply to one of the emails but got no response. It would be very helpful if you could answer the following:

1) When are the Server upgrades planned?
2) Which versions of IQFeed will be compatible with the new servers?

Thanks

Dennis, thanks for the questions.

The change should only affect historical data. All versions of IQFeed older than 4.5 should no longer be able to retrieve history once the changes are made.

There is no definate cut-off date yet set for this change. There are still a couple of details outside the realm of IQFeed users that have to be addressed. Meanwhile we are pro-actively contacting customers who are still using older versions in an effort to get them to upgrade (or find out exactly why they wont).
