Hello-
I have been using QT with IQFeed for backfilling with IB as my real time feed. And all has been going fine.
But since last Friday I have been trying without luck in getting the IQFeed to backfill the march globex currencies (But strangely, the globex march JY backfills just fine). I can backfill the graphs for the upcoming March contracts, but not most currencies, for which I just get no "raw data"
I tried clearing all the data, and then right clicking on the H5 symbol and Backfilling the regular way and also using QT's "Backfill As" option and using the @..H5 symbol.
Summary: I get Globex:@6JH5 just fine
AND- I get Globex:@6SZ4 I get Globex:@6EZ4 I get Globex:@6BZ4
BUT- I do not get Globex:@6SH5 I do not get Globex:@6EH5 I do not get Globex:@6BH5
But I see that the IQFeed is getting through to me because when I put in a symbol that I had never used before [TYH5] it backfilled just fine. It is just those March currency symbols, other than the JYH5
Very strange- any ideas?
Thank you.

I have the correct IQ Feed symbols, indeed I was using them successfully in the june contract series. However when I replace the "M4" with an "H5" I cannot get IQFeed to backfill.
As I said in my posting I am using these symbols, which come from your symbol guide: See, from above:
"I get Globex:@6JH5 just fine
AND- I get Globex:@6SZ4 I get Globex:@6EZ4 I get Globex:@6BZ4
BUT- I do not get Globex:@6SH5 I do not get Globex:@6EH5 I do not get Globex:@6BH5"
An incorrect symbol does not seem to be my problem.

you say "I get Globex: @6JH5 just fine" - however, this is not an IQFeed symbol/symbology. We don't have that symbol. Thus, QT may be converting symbology from IB to something on IQFeed. We also don't have any @6 symbols/symbology at all. You say you are getting this from our symbol guide, however, since we don't have any of these symbols as you post them, I am curious what symbol guide you are looking at (please send a link to the exact page you are getting this symbology from). If you tell us what currencies you are trying to access (since I have no idea what @6 represents), we can try to match that with IQFeed symbology.

patrick,
Would you mind posting what the confusion was? It may be helpful to others that are in the same situation as you (using IQFeed and IB).
Thanks - glad you were able to resolve it.
