For the last 6 to 8 wks I have noticed a problem at the open at 9:30. My quotes will not update correctly for the first 2 -5 minutes. What I have noticed on time and sales is that quotes show up but they are all the same price which pretty much shows as the charts freezing also. The people at QT say its a back logging issue which I have no idea what that is I just know I have been trying to get a solution for this for quite a while now. What happens on a 1 min chart for instance the chart freezes at open then 2-5 later its seems to 'catch' and starts updating. Any ideas?

If QT says it is a backlogging issue, I assume they are talking about the internal queue in QT software processing the feed. There is a number under the "Stop" button that shows if data is queued. Is there a number there? If so, QT isn't able to process the data fast enough (usually caused by too slow a PC).
If you can provide some more detail such as how many symbols you are watching, which symbols, how fast your PC is, etc we may be able to help. It is rare that a queue of data would last 2-5 minutes. Also, when this happens, what is your CPU utilization on your PC?
