I am trying to backtest with some intraday historical data. How far can symbol QGC# data go back to?

In general:
- tick data is held for 180 days (though only the last 8 days are available during trading hours) - minute data is complete since 2007. This is the case for QGC# - daily data can go back much further; for this symbol is goes back to January 1991.

I am having difficultly accessing historical data. When I send the command
HTX ,GOOG,5 or HTD,GOOG,1
All I get back are timestamps.
eg
T,20230817 15:12:44
What am I missing?

I found out I was using the wrong port. Should have been 9100...

Correct, you're connected to the wrong port for the type of command you're sending. Only port 5009 (Level 1) and 9200 (level 2) send timestamps. HTD and HTX are historical/lookup commands which should be sent to port 9100.
