Try some of the freelancer web sites such as Upwork.com and freelancer.com. They have a lot of programmers.
On the webpage (http://www.iqfeed.net/dev/api/stats_doc.txt) there is a list of files named Market Scans Documentation. Below is a sample of the files on this webpage. Are these files we can download? How would I download GAN.txt (NYSE Top Gainers). I do not see this in the DTN API Documentation.
ACA.txt AMEX Most Actives (based on Volume) Volume >0 and Close >= 2 Symbol|Exch|Company Name|Volume|Previous Volume|Last|Change|%Change*100 ACN.txt NYSE Most Actives same same ACQ.txt NASDAQ Most Actives same same
GAA.txt AMEX Top Gainers (based on Change) Volume >0 and Close >= 2 same GAN.txt NYSE Top Gainers same same
GAQ.txt NSADAQ Top Gainers same same
Is there a date when Version 5.2 will be released to the public?
I am trying to understand the code changes in C++ I will need to make to keep using the IQFeed. From what I read in the DTN Forums the changes effect the items TickID and "Message Contents" which are part of the Level1 Port System Messages. Is there a document describing the code changes we need to make when processing these values after August 23?
Message Contents C - Last Qualified Trade. E - Extended Trade = Form T trade. O - Other Trade = Any trade not accounted for by C or E. b - A bid update occurred. a - An ask update occurred. o - An Open occurred. h - A High occurred. l - A Low occurred. c - A Close occurred. s - A Settlement occurred.
The CME Group ends pit trading on July 2, 2015. Is there a DTN notice how the symbols will change. I guess only Globex symbols from now on.
Dear Eric,
I posted the original message. The problem I had was caused by multiple computers using the same wireless internet connection. When I disconnected all computer but the one I was using DTN with and the login did not hang.
I see there is a new version iqfeed_client_5_1_3_1 which may solve a problem you had with 5.1.2.5
Good luck Patrick
The link below is not working for the web page to update developer information. Is this a temporary problem or is there a new web page to update dev information.

500 - Internal server error. There is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed.
I am experiencing a new login problem that started in the past few days. The login has been working and I am doing the final testing for my application. The login still works on my Windows 8 test computer but does not work on the Windows 7 test computer.
My application is using the socket connection to DTN created by calling iqconnect.exe. I am using IQFeed Version,5.1.2.5. The iqconnect.exe shows the message Retrieving IP information and pauses, never moving past this point.
Below is my log file named: IQConnectLog.txt I see the items LookupError,L2Error,L1Error in the log file but I am not sure what this means. Can you suggest a solution?

Dear Steve S.
I believe I understand your answer. Let me ask about the first time stamp of the day 00:00:00. Based on your answer 00:00:00 is actually the last data set for the previous day. Is this correct? In the example below, 2015-01-29 00:00:00 is the last data for 2015-01-28. Is this correct?
60 minute data 2015-01-29 02:00:00 = (01:00:00 - 01:59:59) 2015-01-29 01:00:00 = (00:00:00 - 00:59:59)
2015-01-29 00:00:00 = (23:00:00 - 23:59:59 Previous day 2015-01-28)
2015-01-28 23:00:00 = (22:00:00 - 22:59:59) 2015-01-28 22:00:00 = (21:00:00 - 21:59:59)
Thanks Patrick
It was my understanding the time stamps on a history requests for the S&P500 mini futures contract symbol ES were the time periods Opening Time in East Coast Time. The Level 1 time stamp was also East Coast Time. My Problem is that the newest record returned from a 60 minute history request seems to have a time stamp that is 1 hour ahead.
Here is a real situation:
At 8:47pm ET (20:47:00) I request 60 minuet data for @ESH15
The most current data point I get back has a time stamp of 21:00:00 which is 9:00pm ET. The three newest time stamps for this 60 min data request are below. 2015-01-28 21:00:00 2015-01-28 20:00:00 2015-01-28 19:00:00
I am using the 10 minute delay data for @ESH15 so my Level 1 time stamp is 20:37:28:646 which is 8pm 37min 28sec 646milsec.
My problem is the newest data from the history request has a 21 (9pm) time stamp. How can I get a 21(9pm) time stamp before 9pm?
I seem to have misunderstood what a Synthentic contract is. Below are three soybean Synthentic but they do not seem to return much data and I am not sure what the data is. Can you explain what a Synthentic item is?
@QS2# SOYBEANS CSO NOV-NOV SYNTHETIC NOVEMBER 2015
@QS2X15 SOYBEANS CSO NOV-NOV SYNTHETIC NOVEMBER 2015
@SQ2X15 SOYBEANS CSO CONSECUTIVE SYNTHETIC NOVEMBER 2015
I am trying to find the symbol that will call a continuous futures contract that rolls to the same contract month. For example a symbol for November Soybean that rolls from Nov12-Nov13-Nov14-Nov15 always rolling into the next November contract. Is the symbol below the correct symbol for this?
@SX# Continuous November Contract rollover?
I am accessing the DTN IQfeed through a Socket.
I am looking for the recommended way to get the previous day's closing price that is used to calculate the Change and Percent Change values.
I have been looking at the Fundamental Messages and Update/Summery Messages and Level1 Messages but I don't see anything called previous close.
Thanks Patrick
