Hi, When I try to install the IQ Feed client (v4.5.0.3), the installer lists the following errors Could not load: C:\Program Files\DTN\IQFeed\DTNSymbolLookup.dll Could not load: C:\Program Files\DTN\IQFeed\DTNOptionChainLookup.dll Could not load: C:\Program Files\DTN\IQFeed\DTNNewsLookup.dll Could not load: C:\Program Files\DTN\IQFeed\DTNLevel2Lookup.dll Could not load: C:\Program Files\DTN\IQFeed\DTNHistoryLookup.dll Could not load: C:\Program Files\DTN\IQFeed\DTNIQFeedCOM.dll Could not load: C:\Program Files\DTN\IQFeed\IQFeedY.ocx Could not load: C:\Program Files\DTN\IQFeed\IQ_API.dll Completed
I have a feeling I might have some missing / corrupt dll's. is it possible to get a list of dependencies? Thanks

Hi GS,
I will check with our developer to see what may be causing this. In the mean time, try rebooting the PC and then run the install before you do anything else. Also I would recommend using Internet Explorer to do the install. We do see some minor problems with other web browsers from time to time.
THANKS

I've tried rebooting and all the usual stuff. I'm a but unsure about using a different web browser - seeing as the installer is an executable file, I don't see how this is relevant.
Thanks

I agree the brower should make no difference. But experence has shown us it does. Try using Internet Explorer. I will check with our developer when he comes in.

Hello, the error message you see above is a result of not being able to register the dlls at the end of the installation process.
As you suspected, this might be caused by missing dependancies, but might also be caused by something else.
Please try to manually register the dlls and see which error message you get. If you are not familiar with this process, here is a walkthrough.
Open a command prompt by Clicking Start -> Run and Type "cmd" (without the quotes) and hit enter.
In the command prompt window type:
cd \Program Files\DTN\IQFeed\
And hit enter.
Next, attempt to register the dll by typing the following:
regsvr32.exe DTNSymbolLookup.dll
And hit enter.
At this point, you should get a message box that pops up with either success or failure. Let us know what the message says please.

Sorry about the delay in my reply - I've been interstate for a fortnight.
I tried to register the dll manually, which gave me a number of errors (MFC80 was corrupt). After a bit of googling, I found out that my Microsoft Visual Studio installation was broken. A quick reinstallation solved everything.
Thanks for your help
